The third excursion of the “Cammina Boschi” course took place on October 24th. The hikers crossed the areas of Module 2 located in habitat 91AA * of the Life area of Monte Mauro. The day was gloomy and with poor visibility. The monitoring activities, the characteristics of the habitat of eastern white oak woods and the importance of the presence of dead wood on the ground and standing dead wood were explained. Forest conservation interventions were explained on the spot. The hikers showed great involvement and interest in the Life4OakForests project.
