The 5th of September was held a day dedicated to the families in the life Life4oakforests project area of Carnè-Rontana, Parco regionale della Vena del Gesso Romagnola . Children and parents were involved in didactic activities and explanations concernig the importance of natural Downey oak forests and its habitat and the importance of saproxylic insects such as Lucanus cervus and Osmoderma eremita and the importance on deadwood in the forest. In this occasion larvae and insects of the two species where shown to the children who demonstrated great interest and curiosity. During the activity the booklet “Conoscere il bosco” and the gadgets of Life4oakforest have been distributed and consulted.
